Cheryl Sew Hoy
Cheryl Sew Hoy is the founder and CEO of Tiny Health, the leading precision microbiome platform optimizing healthspan from the first 1,000 days to the last.
Driven by a personal mission to reverse the global rise of chronic conditions, Cheryl launched Tiny Health in 2022 after searching for answers to her own daughter’s chronic health issues. What began as the first at-home gut microbiome test for mothers and babies has since evolved into a full-lifespan platform. Today, Tiny Health utilizes advanced shotgun metagenomics to offer clinical-grade gut and vaginal microbiome testing, powering deep functional insights from butyrate production to GABA capacity for over 150,000 users and 5,000 practitioners.
Under Cheryl’s leadership, the platform is rapidly setting new clinical standards. In September 2025, Tiny Health published a landmark randomized controlled trial (RCT) showing an 83% reduction in the odds of infant atopic conditions using its platform. Through its Powered by Tiny model, the company now integrates its diagnostic technology directly into health systems, precision medicine practices, and longevity clinics, including Function Health, Superpower, LifespanMD, and Mayo Clinic’s Longevity & Executive Health Clinic.
Cheryl is a Cornell alumna, serial tech entrepreneur, a TIME 2017 Person of the Year (as one of the “Silence Breakers”), and a 2026 Inc. Female Founder.
