Dr. Shai Efrati is the Founder and Director of the world-leading Sagol Center for Hyperbaric Medicine and Research at Shamir Medical Center, where he also serves as Director of Research and Development and Head of Nephrology. He is a professor at the Sackler School of Medicine and the Sagol School of Neuroscience at Tel Aviv University. Since 2008 Dr. Efrati has served as chairman of the Israeli Society for Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine. Efrati is also the Chair of the Medical Advisory Board for Aviv Scientific and a founding member of the Global Aging Consortium. In October 2024, Efrati’s debut novel, Beyond Normal - the New Science of Advanced Medicine, will be released. This book unveils a revolutionary perspective on the possibilities of modern medicine with insights from Dr. Efrati’s personal regimen and stories from his years treating patients with his unique Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) protocol, the Hyperoxic-Hypoxic Paradox.
