For many of us, researching health information through podcasts, reddit threads and Dr. Google becomes almost instantly overwhelming. It often feels like we’re ill-equipped with the tools necessary to tell the difference between good science, bad science, and marketing fluff. At the same time, we live in an age where experts have repeatedly, unintentionally – and at times intentionally – misinformed the population about research, recommendations, and insights, perhaps with the noble goal of getting people to do things they do not think they otherwise would have done. Join us for a thought-provoking discussion, and walk away with practical tools for becoming a more informed citizen of your own well-being including how to be critically-curious about what you’re reading, watching and hearing, and how and when to take empowered action to advocate for yourself and the ones you love.
