Noura Abul-Husn
Physician Scientist (MD, PhD)
Dr. Noura Abul-Husn is the Vice President of Genomic Health at
23andMe. She oversees a team of clinical and scientific experts
focused on building novel preventive health services and
contributing to company-wide genetics and health initiatives
that impact millions of consumers. Noura is a physician
scientist who is known for pioneering genome-first approaches to
provide novel clinical insights, inform therapeutic discovery,
and implement genomic medicine programs tailored to ancestrally
diverse populations. Throughout her career, she has led
high-impact clinical, educational, and research programs that
extend the reach of genomic medicine and personalized
healthcare. Prior to joining 23andMe, she was the founding Chief
of Genomic Medicine in the Department of Medicine and Clinical
Director of the Institute for Genomic Health at Mount Sinai. Her
work has been published in leading journals, including Science,
Cell, and the New England Journal of Medicine. Noura completed
her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees and residency at the Icahn School of
Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and is board certified in
both Internal Medicine and Medical Genetics.
