James Hamblin
Preventative Medicine Author (MD, MPH)
Dr. Hamblin is an author, journalist, and physician. He is board
certified in public health and general preventive medicine and
is a lecturer in public health policy at Yale School of Public
Health. He is a former staff writer and senior editor at The
Atlantic magazine. His writing has also appeared in The New York
Times, The Washington Post, Politico, Vice. He is the author of
Clean: The New Science of Skin (Riverhead, 2020) which was an
editors' pick by the New York Times Book Review and named
among the best books of the year by Vanity Fair and NPR. He has
spoken at TED Med, South by Southwest, Aspen Ideas Festival,
National Academies of Sciences, and the Global Ideas Forum and
appeared twice on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
